Airport transfers
Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport is about 26 km from the ghats and the run takes 45 to 75 minutes. For a group arriving together after a long flight it is the first shared experience of the city, which is a reasonable thing to spend a little on.

What we would put you in
Force Urbania — 17 Seater₹30/km · ₹5,999 for 12 hrs
Seventeen seats and a ten-bag luggage bay, so a family or delegation arrives in one vehicle with the cases stowed rather than on laps.
Why the Urbania here
- Luggage in a bay rather than across the cabin — ten bags in the 17-seater
- Low floor step, which matters most after a long flight
- Individual AC vents, decisive in May and June
- Driver waits inside the terminal for international arrivals
When it is not worth it
Two people with two bags. At ₹2,799 you are paying seventeen seats' worth of vehicle for a job a sedan does for a fraction. For a small party, a cab from a general operator is the honest answer and we will tell you so.
Worth knowing
Land before 15:00 for a same-evening aarti
Varanasi traffic between 17:00 and 20:00 roughly doubles any cross-city journey. Plan the arrival around the aarti rather than hoping.
Night pickups carry the allowance twice
Between 11pm and 6am the driver allowance applies a second time — ₹400 for the 17-seater, ₹600 for the Maharaja. The base fare does not change, and anyone doubling it is inventing a charge.
Book the transfer with the trip
A vehicle that collects you and stays with you costs less than a transfer plus a fresh booking the following morning.
Questions
- How much is a luxury airport transfer in Varanasi?
- ₹2,799 for a 17-seat Force Urbania and ₹3,499 for the 9-seat Maharaja Urbania. One way, point to point. GST, toll and airport parking extra at actuals.
- How long does the Varanasi airport transfer take?
- 45 to 75 minutes for the 26 km, depending on the hour. The 17:00 to 20:00 window is the slowest and can add half an hour.
- Does the driver wait if my flight is delayed?
- Yes. We track the flight and the driver waits — inside the terminal for international arrivals, at the kerb for domestic. One hour of waiting is included after landing.
