Most families booking for elders focus on seat comfort. In practice the deciding factors are the height of the step, how often the vehicle has to be boarded, and how far the walk is at the other end — and only the first two are things a vehicle can fix.

When it is not worth it
It cannot shorten the walk. Kashi Vishwanath is a ten-minute walk from Godowlia for everybody, the ghats are stone steps, and Dev Deepawali means twenty to forty minutes on foot. If walking is the constraint, the vehicle is not the thing to spend on — a Sugam Darshan slot that cuts a three-hour queue is.
Worth knowing
Plan around the queue, not the drive
General darshan at Kashi Vishwanath runs three to six hours on a weekend. For elders that is the hard part of the day. Book a slot on the temple trust portal and tell us the time.
Which stops need no walking
Sankat Mochan, Durga Kund, Tulsi Manas and Sarnath all have parking at the entrance. Kashi Vishwanath, Annapurna and the ghats do not.
A boat is easier than the steps
For the evening aarti, a boat means boarding once rather than descending and climbing ghat steps in a crowd after dark.
